RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

I understand that observing and/or participating in any type of shooting or hunting is dangerous. I understand that operating weapons or participating in any way in shooting, handling and/or carrying weapons is also dangerous. I am willing to assume these risks.

I understand that observing or participating in any type of shooting or hunting is dangerous to the general public. I understand that I am responsible for the operation of my weapon and for any injury or damage that I may inadvertently or intentionally cause. I am willing to take responsibility for my actions. I have read and I understand all laws and regulations governing hunting in Iowa, and I agree to comply with all such laws and regulations while I am on JCHT property.
I understand that maintaining and preserving the natural features of property is a primary mission of JCHT, and I agree not to damage any natural or other features of the property. I will not use tree stands that are damaging to trees, nor will I use motorized vehicles on the property without special permission of the JCHT property manager.

I understand that the use of pasture or timberland poses certain natural dangers. The terrain itself poses hidden dangers and obvious dangers of which I am aware. I am willing to assume the risk of any injury associated with my hunting on the JCHT property. I also understand that if I, or my guest, have a medical condition of any type, it is my responsibility to advise other guests of the hazards and that I will take responsibility for them and myself.

I also understand that the consumption of alcohol, marijuana and/or other drugs, legal or otherwise, may impair my ability to safely and accurately operate weapons. I agree not to operate a weapon while under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or any drug, legal, illegal or otherwise. If I do operate a weapon or participate in any activity while under the influence of alcohol, marijuana or any other drug, illegal or otherwise, or with any one else who is under such influence, then I assume all risks associated therein.

In consideration of being allowed to hunt upon or visit the Property, either today or at any future time, I hereby release and hold harmless the owners of the Property, or their heirs, successors, or assigns from any and all liability from any injury or loss which may occur while shooting or hunting, entering upon the Property. As a parent and/or guardian, I hereby agree to indemnify and hold harmless the above named landowners, and their heirs, successors or assigns from any and all claims, demands, judgments and costs arising out of injuries or losses to any minor who may accompany me. I also agree to take full responsibility for my guest and to make sure they take all trash from the property.

I HAVE READ THE FOREGOING RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS AND AGREE TO ABIDE BY ITS TERMS.
